Thanks to Tom Wadnola for the scan of the slide.

Since there was a slide, can anyone confirm if there was a neckerchief?

NE-2B 1982 Conclave Staff Neckerchief

conclaveI had previously posted about the 1982 Section NE-2B conclave, Ray Gould sends along some additional items issued for that event.  The Conclave was hosted by Adirondack Lodge #357 and held at Camp Portaferry.

First up is a staff neckerchief:

1982 Section NE-2B Staff Neckerchief

1982 Section NE-2B Staff Neckerchief

This is a need of mine as is the next item.  There was also a neckerchief slide issued for the event.

Section NE-2B 1982 Neckerchief Slide

Section NE-2B 1982 Neckerchief Slide

I’ll add these items to the original post so they are all in one place.

Anything else for this event?

The germ of dissolution of our federal government is in the constitution of the federal judiciary; an irresponsible body, (for impeachment is scarcely a scare-crow), working like gravity by night and by day, gaining a little today and a little tomorrow, and advancing its noiseless step like a thief, over the field of jurisdiction, until all shall be usurped from the States, and the government of all be consolidated into one.” –Thomas Jefferson

Area 2-D 1956 Conclave

conclaveThe 1956 Area 2-D Conclave was hosted by Thay-En-Da-Ne-Gea Lodge #418 and was held at Woodworth Lake Scout Reservation.  There is some uncertainty about what was issued for this conclave.

There was certainly a pocket patch:

There is some question on the neckerchief.  The Blue Book identifies it as the Thay-En-Da-Ne-Gea Lodge #418, however I have heard from more than one source, that this is actually the conclave neckerchief.  Since Thay-En-Da-Ne-Gea Lodge #418was the host, they likely wore it at the event, but that it was a conclave issue.

Thay-En-Da-Ne-Gea Lodge #418 N1 or 1956 Area 2-D Neckerchief?

Thay-En-Da-Ne-Gea Lodge #418 N1 or 1956 Area 2-D Neckerchief?

This specimen was partially embroidered by some enterprising Scout who gave up part way through the job.  The neckerchief is silkscreened.

Can anyone confirm how this neckerchief was issued for the Lodge or for the conclave?

According to the OA Section List, the following lodges were part of Area 2-D at this time:

  • Sisilija Lodge #19
  • Half Moon Lodge #28
  • Wakpominee Lodge #48
  • Mahikan Lodge #181
  • Mohawk Lodge #267
  • Ta-Oun-Ya-Wat-Ha Lodge #268
  • Kamargo Lodge #294 (to 2-G in 1956 before or after the conclave?)
  • Loon Lodge #364
  • Onteroraus Lodge #402
  • Thay-En-Da-Ne-Gea Lodge #418

Thanks to Tom Wadnola for the scan of the pocket patch.
