About Bill

Hello,

For those of you who don’t know me, let me introduce myself. My name is Bill Mulrenin and I’m an Eagle Scout and held my Vigil with Shu-Shu-Gah Lodge #24 in Brooklyn, NY. Since the April 2013 merger, now a proud member of Kintecoying Lodge #4. In Scouting I have received the District Award of Merit, the Silver Beaver, and the Scouter’s Key. I’ve been active in Scouting since my youth, and have served in a variety of capacities, most currently as a member of the Troop Committee of Boy Scout Troop 23 at Our Lady of Angels here in Brooklyn.

Outside of the troop, I am a Trustee of the Ten Mile River Scout Camp Museum and Co-Chairman of its’ Memorabilia Committee, the New York State Editor for the Blue Book and for the last 20 years, been the advisor for the Kintecoying (formerly the Shu Shu Gah) Lodge Trade-O Ree.

My primary area of collecting include all Order of the Arrow issues from New York State; including all odd shapes, neckerchiefs, event patches and all chapter items. To that list I have also added Area and Section conclave issues which contained NY OA Lodges. I further specialize in all Shu-Shu-Gah Lodge #24 items including Chapter Issues and Lodge Activity Patches. As Blue Book editor for New York State, I am always looking for new issues, merger information and corrections to previous editions. Please drop me a line and we can keep the Blue Book updated and make a trade or two. To help keep the collecting community informed about new issues from NYS, I blog about them at http://www.nyoatrader.com/blog

I also collect all memorabilia from Ten Mile River Scout Camps. TMR is the summer camp operated by Greater New York Councils. There have been over 2-dozen different camps open at TMR over the last 85+ years, many of which issued their own patches and neckerchiefs. I am mainly interested in pre-1965 issues and any items issued by either Camp Hayden during the late 70’s and early eighties or Camp Ranachqua since the early 80’s while leased to Rockland County Council or Hudson Delaware Council respectively.

In addition, I collect all editions and printings of the Order of the Arrow Handbook. If you have any editions or printing not listed here please let me know so I may update my records.  My needs are marked with the letter “N.”

This site is an ongoing project as I add pages and links, which will include various reference information, my needs and dupes as well as some helpful links if you are interested in more information.

Many of the patches mentioned and described in the following pages can be view at John Pannell’s Excellent “Internet Guide to OA Insignia” Why not click here to go and have a look. If you are interested in downloading the Blue Book VI you can find it at there too:
