Knowledge is Power Air Ace Medal Type 2

Knowledge is Power

Mitch Reis in his A Guide to Dating and Identifying Boy Scouts of America Badges, Uniforms & Insignia Third Edition  describes the Air Ace Medal as follows:

The ribbons on the earliest Air Scout Ace medals (1946-1947) had a vey wide light blue section and very thin red sections on the edges.  In 1948 it was changed so that the light blue section was almost the same size as the red sections.

One of these type two medals recently appeared on eBay.

    Posted on Sunday, February 22nd, 2009 in Area/Section Conclaves – Comments: (1)
The third and final Section NE-3C Conclave was hosted by Loon Lodge #364 and held at their Camp Bedford which was also the 50th Anniversary of Loon Lodge.  The Conclave theme was Mindful of Our High Traditions. The only issue that I am aware of from that event is a pocket patch.
