Virgin Islands & National Capital Area Councils Join Forces

This may not quite be breaking news, since it was announced last month, but I thought I would share it here.

US Virgin Islands & National Capital Area Councils Join Forces

The National Capital Area Council Executive Committee is pleased to announce that the U.S. Virgin Islands Council (USVIC), BSA will be joining with NCAC to provide better program support to the youth of both territories. The USVIC Executive Board initiated the process in November, 2012 and the NCAC Board confirmed the affiliation at their annual business meeting on February 7, 2013.

I would imagine this will result in the absorption of Arawak Lodge #562 but that information is not currently available.
