Look Back – Tkaen DoD Lodge #30 Elangomat Issue S22

Eight years ago I posted about an Elangomat flap issued by Tkaen Dod Lodge #30.

This one is a need of mine if anyone has one for trade or sale.

Brian Klotz brings word of a new Elangomat flap from Lodge #30. This is the same design as the recently issued S21 with the ghosted council name and has a photosenseitive “glow in the dark” border.

Look Back – Horicon Lodge #246 Belt Buckle

Belt BuckleSix year ago I asked, What do you want to read about? Ray Gould suggested a series on Belt Buckles from New York State OA Lodges.

This was the first one in the series but since I don’t have many myself, so if you want to see more posts on NYS OA belt buckles, send along some scans.

The first one in the series is contributed by Tom Wadnola, it is from Horicon Lodge #246. The Blue Book lists Horicon Lodge as from the merger of Tahawus 32 and Apachedotte 246 in 1955. It later merged with Mide 15 to form Ktemaque 15 in 1973.

Law is not a body of commands imposed upon society from without, either by an individual sovereign or superior, or by a sovereign body constituted by representatives of society itself. It exists at all times as one of the elements of society springing directly from habit and custom. It is therefore the unconscious creation of society, or in other words, a growth. James C. Carter “The Ideal and the Actual in the Law“:
