  1. I have seen the patch and neckerchief before, as my dad was the scoutmaster of Troop 13 in New Rochelle NY in the late 1940’s and early 50’s. He became the scoutmaster again when I was a scout in the early 60’s. He was a member of the Chappegat Lodge #15 and I was a member of Mide #15. He had that neckercheif above. I am not sure what it was for, but i will look to see if I have any other information.

  2. Harold,

Thanks for the information, I’m always looking to trade or buy OA items from NY lodges.

    Regards,
    Bill

  3. Bill and All, I think it is well understood that the variations were many. At the time (1950s for me), loving moms and grandmothers embroidered the silk screen issue with whatever colors the embroidering artist and member chose. The arrowhead was almost always white (gray, silver). My grandmother who did a lovely job chose green for the beaver’s color. Called to my attention perhaps more than once, but item was dear to me. Great memory. (Item not in my possession now.) Pete
