Collecting Ten Mile River Scout Camps and NYC OA Patches Webinar

Here is a link to the webinar I hosted on Collecting Ten Mile River Scout Camps and NYC OA Patches. This is a very high level overview and I try to cover a lot of ground in a short period of time. The first portion of the talk is devoted to TMR, with the final portion to the NYC OA Lodges.

The topic is “Collecting Ten Mile River Scout Camps and OA patches.”

Bill Mulrenin (aka “NY OA Trader,” https://www.nyoatrader.com), Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member will lead a discussion about collecting and trading Ten Mile River Scout Camps’ and Order of the Arrow Patches. Bill is a Trustee of the Ten Mile River Scout Camp Museum, chairman of its’ Memorabilia Committee and the New York State Editor for the Blue Book.

I’m particularly interested in any information you may have on Ranachqua Lodge event issues from the 1950’s and any Chapter issues as I do not believe they are well documented.

Kintecoying Lodge #4 Revolutionary War Trail X10

For years Man-A-Hattin Lodge #82 sponsored two historic trails in Manhattan, one was “The Old New York Trail” the other was the “Revolutionary War Trail”. After the merger into Kintecoying Lodge #4 in 2013, the lodge continued to use the old patches until they ran out. After all, a Scout is Thrifty. But now the patches have run out, and they have been reissued with the Kintecoying Lodge name. This is the second of the two patches, this one for the Revolutionary War Trail.

Kintecoying Lodge #4 Man-A-Hattin Chapter A1

Most of the predecessor lodges of Kintecoying Lodge #4 issued one or more Death Flaps or final Banquet patches. Man-A-Hattin Lodge #82 did the same, but it did not become available until there year-end chapter banquet over 6 months after the merger in April 2013. Therefore I’m calling this a chapter issue from Man-A-Hattin Chapter of Kintecoying Lodge #4, To date, this is the only chapter issued from any of the lodge’s six chapters.

It usses the same design as the original arrowhead from the lodge and adds the birth and death years.

Man-A-Hattin Lodge #82 Last Regular Issue Flap S16

Back in 2013, Man-A-Hattin Lodge #82 along with the other Greater New York Councils Lodges all merged to become Kintecoying Lodge #4.

I recently acquired a stack of these and am looking to trade them for other regular issue flaps or OA centennial flaps I don’t already have in duplicate.

Throwback Thursday – Man-A-Hattin Lodge #82 event issue eN1956-2

Ten years ago in August 2005, I was posting about a previously unlisted event issue from Man-A-Hattin Lodge #82.

Here is second Man-A-Hattin Lodge #82 event issue, that was previously unlisted in the Blue Book. This will change the current eN1956 to eN1956-1 and this will likely be the:

Throwback Thursday – Man-A-Hattin Lodge #82 Camporee eR2003-2 Staff Issue

Going deep into the archives, back in December 2007 I wrote about a then newly discovered event issue from Man-A-Hattin Lodge #82 issued for a Camporee held in 2003 for event Staff.

After 2003, the lodge decided the expense of the patches was too great and stopped producing them.
