Look Back – Area 2-G 1958 Conclave

In May 2008 I was posting on many Area and Section Conclaves. One of them was the Area 2-G Conclave from 1958 which was hosted by Onondaga Lodge #516 and held at Camp Woodland, Constantia, NY.

1958 Area 2-D Covers

Brian Kent sends along two covers issued for the 1958 Area 2-D Conclave. The 1958 Area 2-D Conclave was actually held outside of NYS at Stratton Mountain Scout Reservation in Vermont.

Here is a photo of 2 different envelope designs from the 1958 Area 2D Conclave. I picked one up recently and then noticed it was different from one I already had.

1958 Area 2-E Conclave Pamphlet

Christopher Carlson sends along a scan of the pamphlet cover from the 1958 Area 2-E Conclave which provides the date and theme for the weekend.

The conclave was held over the weekend of August 22-24, 1958 and the theme was “He alone is worthy to wear the Arrow who will continue to faithfully serve his fellowman.

Area 2-D 1958 Conclave

The 1958 Area 2-D Conclave was actually held outside of NYS at Stratton Mountain Scout Reservation . SMSR was located in the Green Mountains of Southern Vermont on Grout Pond in the Town of Stratton. The camp was owned Fort Orange Council, later Fort Orange – Uncle Sam and Governor Clinton. The host Lodge was Mahikan Lodge #181.

There were three items issued for the event, a pocket patch

Area 2-A 1958 NOAC Contingent Neckerchief

OK, so its not a conclave issue. There was no Area 2-A Conclave in 1958, but the Area did produce a contingent Neckerchief to the 1958 held at Lawrence Kansas.

Area 2-E 1958 Conclave Issue

conclaveThe 1958 Area 2-E Conclave was hosted by Tuighaunock Lodge #409 and held at their Camp Dittmer. As far as I know, there was only a single item issued for this conclave, the neckerchief pictured below.
