1958 Area 2-D Covers

Brian Kent sends along two covers issued for the 1958 Area 2-D Conclave. The 1958 Area 2-D Conclave was actually held outside of NYS at Stratton Mountain Scout Reservation in Vermont.

Here is a photo of 2 different envelope designs from the 1958 Area 2D Conclave. I picked one up recently and then noticed it was different from one I already had.

Section NE-2A 1987 Conclave Jacket Patch

ConclaveHere is another conclave jacket patch for the 1987 NE-2A Conclave which had previously escaped me. This was another acquisition from the Capital District Trade-O-Ree last weekend.

Nischa Nimat Lodge #181 Belt Buckle

I’ve posted about Belt Buckles from NYS Lodges from time to time, here is one from Nischa Nimat Lodge #181.  This is a smaller buckle only measuring about 2 1/4 inches wide and only able to accommodate a belt approximately 1 1/4 inches wide.

Area 2-D 1958 Conclave

The 1958 Area 2-D Conclave was actually held outside of NYS at Stratton Mountain Scout Reservation . SMSR was located in the Green Mountains of Southern Vermont on Grout Pond in the Town of Stratton. The camp was owned Fort Orange Council, later Fort Orange – Uncle Sam and Governor Clinton. The host Lodge was Mahikan Lodge #181.

Kittan Lodge #364 HS1 – Ganienkeh Lodge #19 HS1

Here is the next issue in the nine flap Historical set commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the BSA. This flap is for Ganienkeh Lodge #19.
There is no flap in this set for the short lived Ganienkeh Lodge #181. Lodges 181, 268 and 418 merged to become the new Ganienkeh Lodge #181. Sisilija Lodge #19 joined the mix just a year later and the Lodge numner was changed to 19, but the name and flap design of Ganienkeh Lodge #181 was kept.
