I had heard from Mike Hinman at the CNY TOR this past weekend, that the Camp may have been sold, and now it is &#8220;in the paper.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Land First, of Lacona, agreed to pay $487,500 for the 388-acre Camp Portaferry in the towns of Pitcairn and Fern in St. Lawrence County, the council announced Monday. The Salina-based council has 7,000 scouts and more than 3,000 adult leaders in Cayuga, Jefferson, Lewis, Onondaga, Oswego and St. Lawrence counties.<\/p>\n<p>Land First plans to develop the land into private residences, with a minimum of seven acres per lot, said Scott Armstrong, the council\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s vice president of public affairs.
