Can’t make it to the Hill?\u00c2\u00a0 You can join in on the celebration in Times Square in the heart of NYC.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, July 31, in TIMES SQUARE, the whole NYC Scouting family \u00e2\u20ac\u201c past, present and future \u00e2\u20ac\u201c celebrates 100 years of Scouting. The full day of events will feature a Scouting expo with displays and activities that demonstrate the benefits of our program.\u00c2\u00a0The evening will culminate in a special New York City-style show and the nationwide broadcast of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153A Shining Light Across America<\/em>\u00e2\u20ac\u009d from the National Scout Jamboree with two major viewing areas for a Scouting audience, a live stage, and broadcasted content on the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153big screens\u00e2\u20ac\u009d throughout Times Square.\u00c2\u00a0We expect 5,000 Scouts and Scouters to make it a day or weekend activity!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

We invite you to visit New York City on the weekend of July 30 – August 1.\u00c2\u00a0Throughout the course of the weekend, New York City and its many tourist attractions will offer discounts and special access at museums, ballparks, restaurants, city parks and much more. Bring your family, friends, or your unit! Visitors can stay at one of the GNYC camps outside of the City.\u00c2\u00a0The weekend\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s activities, featuring Saturday\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s main event, will draw a Scouting community from around the world!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
