{"id":6719,"date":"2010-07-21T16:55:13","date_gmt":"2010-07-21T20:55:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nyoatrader.com\/blog\/?p=6719"},"modified":"2023-10-05T13:02:49","modified_gmt":"2023-10-05T18:02:49","slug":"sisilija-lodge-19-neckerchief-slide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nyoatrader.com\/blog\/2010\/07\/21\/sisilija-lodge-19-neckerchief-slide\/","title":{"rendered":"Sisilija Lodge #19 Neckerchief Slide"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.nyoatrader.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/neckerchief-slide.gif\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5996\" title=\"neckerchief slide\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.nyoatrader.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/neckerchief-slide.gif?resize=381%2C49\" alt=\"\" width=\"381\" height=\"49\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nBack in 2002, for the 75th Anniversary of TMR, the Ten Mile River Scout Museum had a display of hundreds of neckerchief slides and bolos carved by Roland Flora.<br \/>\nThere was even a brief article with photos in one of the local papers.<br \/>\n<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.nyoatrader.com\/graphics\/Flora.jpg?resize=450%2C275\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"275\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately Roland has since passed away,\u00c2\u00a0 but through the generosity of his family,\u00c2\u00a0the Museum is once again fortunate to have these slides and bolos on display during Scouting&#8217;s Centennial year.<\/p>\n<p>About 25 or 30 of these slides were done for OA Lodges, a number of them from NY. I was able to snap a few photos with the camera in my cell phone, but hope to get better pictures soon.<\/p>\n<p>One of the lodges from NY that had a slide was Sislija Lodge #19.
