This topic comes up on Patch_l and other collecting forums from time to time. Someone is trying to identify what seems to be an OA Flap but does not have a lodge name or number on it. Chances are it was what is referred to as a Trader Bill issue.<\/p>\n

These were produced by an individual (Trader Bill) and sold from classified ad’s in the back of Boy’s Life in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Today we would label them spoofs. At the time, they were purportedly issued for fun or to allow those with heavily restricted flaps something to trade. <\/p>\n

There is a website maintained by Tim Giesbers<\/a>, which pictures many of them.<\/p>\n
