Jennings.<br \/>\nOn Thursday, George was rushed to Vassar Brothers Medical Center after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke. The intracerebral hemorrhage involved major areas of the brain and it was impossible to reverse the damage.  He ultimately passed away on Monday, December 31, at 4:50 PM after spending several days surrounded by his loving friends and family.<br \/>\nWe are thankful that George didn\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2t suffer and know that he was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven to join Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and those who passed before him.<br \/>\nAn obituary and information on calling hours\/memorial service will be available shortly at the Straub, Catalano &#038; Halvey Funeral Home website http:\/\/www.straubcatalanohalvey.com\/ and the Poughkeepsie Journal. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&#8230;Until we meet again.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<br \/>\n&#8220;May the father of all mercies scatter light, and not darkness, upon our paths.&#8221; &#8211;George Washington<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some sad tidings to pass along at the start of this new year; regular Contributor of Images and friend George Jennings from Wappingers Falls, NY and most recently Nacha Nimat Lodge #86, has Gone Home.
