“We have therefore to resolve to conquer or die: Our won Country’s Honor, all call upon us for vigorous and manly exertion, and if we now shamefully fail, we shall become infamous to the whole world. Let us therefore rely upon the goodness of the Cause, and the aid of the supreme Being, in whose hands Victory is, to animate and encourage us to great and noble Actions.” –George Washington, General Orders, 1776

Look Back – Oldest Ty-Ohni Lodge #95 Neckerchief?

In honor of the Seneca Waterways Council Historical Society TOR, here is a post from eight years ago.

Rob Cunningham shares another interesting find from Ty-Ohni Lodge #95.  The question becomes is it an official issue?  If so, it would likely be listed as the N0.5.

As Rob tells it…

2 more interesting items were donated to the council historical society- one more 1952 NOAC adviser neckerchief (we thought only 3 existed but now a fourth has surfaced) and another one of the red and white neckerchiefs with the crude Ty-Ohni embroidery which we previously had thought was a one-of-a-kind item.  To date it is the earliest Neckerchief with “Ty-Ohni” on it aside from issues with patches.  Each time we acquired one of these neckerchiefs they came together so they are likely both from the same time period.

Ty-Ohni Lodge #95 N0.5?

Ty-Ohni Lodge #95 N0.5?

Anyone have more information on this neckerchief or one for trade or sale?

“I know no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power.” –Thomas Jefferson, letter to William Charles Jarvis, 1820

Look Back – Ty-Ohni Lodge #95 1977 NOAC Delegate Neckerchief N8.7

Eight years ago in September 2008, we were posting about a previously unlisted NOAC Neckerchief from Ty-Ohni Lodge #95.

Mike Knittel shares the image and the following information. Each contingent member was given several of the red bordered neckerchiefs to trade, however there was a gold bordered version which was given one per contingent member to wear at the event.

Tschipey Achtu Lodge #(95) 2014 Home of the Northeast Region Chief – Kyle Piper SMY F2a TL

I realized I never posted a picture of the Tschipey Achtu Lodge #(95) Silver Mylar version of the 2014 NER Chief flap issued for Kyle Piper. There were two flaps issued to celebrate the 2014 Northeast Region Chief, Kyle Piper who comes from their lodge.

The first variety has a silver Mylar border and is being given out by Kyle as a friendship gift. This flap was available first and will be designated the F2. I understand that there are both TL and TR versions available. The Silver Mylar version is the one used as a Chief’s Gift.

The Twill Left version is pictured below.
