State of the Hobby – Skanondo Lodge #64 First Flap

Skanondo Lodge #64 has one of the tougher first flaps from NYS (outside of the first tier FF 19,48, 546 and 547). Here is a recent example from eBay, the price is somwhat lower than may be expected, but it is a used sample.

Clicking on the image will bring you to the auction for the next few months.

Four unique bidders drove the price up to nearly $ 81.00 before the hammer came down.

How much do you think condition played in the final price?

Look Back – Section NE-2A 1995 Section Conclave

Over six and a half years ago I wrote about the 1995 Section NE-2A Conclave, three years ago in October 2011 I was able to add an image of the Jacket Patch.

Section NE-2A 1995 Jacket Patch

Currently this is still a need of mine if anyone has one for trade or sale?

The Host Lodge is Skanondo Lodge #64, and it was held at Camp Ranachqua part of the Ten Mile River Scout Camps.
The lodges which were part of NE-2A at the time were #’s 15 , 28, 64, 313, 369, 427, 443, 444, and 553.

Section NE-2A 1995 Conclave Jacket Patch

I had previously written about the 1995 Section NE-2A Conclave. The Host Lodge was Skanondo Lodge #64, and it was held at Camp Ranachqua part of the Ten Mile River Scout Camps.

At the time, I was aware of a jacket patch but did not have an image. Roy Wetherbee corrects that lack with the image below.

Skanondo Lodge #64 Elangomat X1

I’ve written about a number of tough OA issues from NYS Lodges. While not as pricey as some, here is one of the toughest pieces from Skanondo Lodge #64.

Section NE-2B 1990 Conclave

conclaveBased on the positioning of the Lodge # and their Totem appearing in the design, I believe that Skanondo Lodge #64 was host for the 2nd NE-2B conclave under this new alignment. The theme for the event, was Remember the past and Prepare for the Future.

There was at least two items issued for this event, a pocket patch:

Section NE-2B 1990 Pocket Patch

Section NE-2B 1990 Pocket Patch

and a neckerchief:
