Section NE-5 1989 Conclave Update

I had previously written about the 1989 NE-5 Conclave, In 1989 the newly formed Section NE-5’s Conclave was hosted by Gyantwachia Lodge #255 and the event was held at Camp Custaloga Town. the theme for the weekend was “Seek To Serve”

Todd Rogers advised

I was going through my collection and realized there are two different varieties for the 1989 NE-5 patch that you mention:

In addition to the no loop version, there was a version with a loop.

Section NE-5 1989 Conclave Pocket Patch with Loop

Section NE-5 1989 Conclave Pocket Patch with Loop

My guess would be trading post version and a participant version. Can anyone confirm?

I’ll update the original post to add the image.

Section NE-4A 2013 Conclave Issues

Chris Carlson reminds me that with the 2014 Section Conclave schedule well underway, I still had not posted any scans for the 2013 Section NE-4A Conclave. Gyantwachia Lodge #255 was the host lodge for the event, the theme was Casino Royale.

There were a series of 6 three inch rounds issued for the event, looking like poker chips. Each was identical except for the color. Not sure if there was any significance to the different colors. There were six lodges in the section and six patches were issued.

Section NE-3A 2006 Conclave Set

ConclaveAnother Section Conclave set sent along by Matt Crance.  This one is from the 2006 NE-3A Section Conclave.

Section NE-3A 2006 Conclave Set

Matt advises:

Everyone got the patch but the flap had to be purchased I am not sure if it is considered part of 255 or not. If you completed “the Challenge” you got the 255 pin.

While it could be considered that the flap is a Lodge #255 Gyantwachia which was available for sale to all on the event; I’m leaning towards it being a Conclave issue. It does not contain the Lodge name or number although that by itself would not be determinative.  I’ll let the PA Blue Book Editor make the call as to whether it is a #255 issue; but it is certainly collectible as a conclave item.

Update August 2013 Chris Carlson sends along an image of the Conclave Booklet.
