State of the Hobby – Tahgajute Lodge #247 J3 Ceremonial Team Patch

I had previously written about the Tahgajute Lodge #247 J3 Ceremonial Team Patch, one of the toughest items from Tahgajute Lodge #247.

One recently showed up on eBay.

Clicking on the image will bring you to the auction results for the next few months.

this one was probably hurt since it does not contain the lodge name or number, but their were still for unique bidders on this on driving the price up to over $ 56.00.

Discovery – Tahgajute Lodge #247 1981 NOAC X5

While it has long been listed in the CSP Guide as the Cayuaga County SA-3, it has never been reflected in the Blue Book. The CSP below should be cross listed as the Tahgajute Lodge #247 X5.

Section NE-3B 2006 Conclave Update

Here is another update to one of my early conclave posts from back in November 2006, I wrote about the 2006 Section NE-3B Conclave which was held at Camp Rotary. I’ve since been able to add images of several more issues from that event and will replace that early post with this one on my checklist.

As far as I now know, there were three pocket patches and a jacket patch.

The standard patch had a black border

There was also a red bordered version which I believe was the staff issue.

Tahgajute Lodge #247 Death Flap S20

New IssueAnother issue I saw for the first time at the CNY TOR last month was a Death Flap from Tahgajute Lodge #247. Reportedly around 50 flaps were made and made available to the final members of the lodge around the time of the lodge merger.

The quote has been referred to as Logan’s Lament and probably reflects how at least some felt about the ‘loss’ of Tahgajute.

The stats for this one should be:

Heard Around the TOR and Conclave

Spent much of Saturday at the 2012 Central New York Trade-O-Ree Scouting Memorabilia & Trade Show held at Camp woodlands this past weekend. Picked up a number of current needs, some information on new issues and a few items that I had missed. Also heard from some folk at the NE-2B conclave about some NYC area issues. Thought that I would post a summarry here, you should be seeing individual posts over the next couple of weeks on these items.

  • Section NE-3B held their conclave the first weekend in June. There were 3 different pocket patches trading post, particpant, & staff as well as a Jacket Patch and Neckerchief.
  • Section NE-3B will also be issuing a set of NOAC Flaps, one for each of the 5 lodges in the Section.
  • Section NE-2B held their conclave this past weekend and issued a Jacket Patch, and 4 pocket patches: Participant, VIA Lunch, Staff(?) and Host Lodge(?). Can anyone confirm ehat each of the border colors represent?
  • Ranachqua Lodge #4 will be issuing a two-piece delegate set to go along with the two sets already out.
  • Shu Shu Gah Lodge #24 will also be issuing a two-piece delegate set, although they are apparently still on order.
  • Man-A-Hattin Lodge #82 will be issuing two flaps, a fundraiser and contingent flap.
  • Otahnagon Lodge #172 has issued several items which have gone unreported. There were event flaps issued for the Lodge banquets for 2010, 2011, and 2012. There is an Executive Board Patch, a chevron issued for the Acquatic Education Center and one for the Fith Anniversary of their Lodge Advisor Joe Bennet
  • Tahgajute Lodge Lodge #247 has a final Death Flap which apparently was reportedly only produced in a quantity uner 50. Most went to former Tahgajute members, but s small nember were seen at the CNY TOR this past weekend
  • Ashokwahta Lodge #339 issued a two piece trader for the 2012 NOAC and a Contingent flap.
  • Kittan Lodge #364 has issued a new version of their regular issue flap. There are a number of small differences from the S1. Does it rise two the level of a variety? Certainly not a new issue. Their Ta-Oun-Ya-Wat-Ha Chapter has also issued a new All Season Camper Patch.
  • Tschipey Achtu Lodge #(95 or) 397 also has several new issues, and F flap of the same design of their S4. There are also 2 new two-piece sets a 2012 NOAC Trader and 2012 NOAC Contingent set.
  • Onteroraus Lodge #402 has issued a fundraiser flap for the 2012 NOAC. There will also be a two pice set which was to have been released on June 9 fellowship
  • Will have to review my notes and see if there are any other issues I overlooked.
