Section NE-2B 1990 Conclave Staff Neckerchief

I had previously written about the Section NE-2B 1990 Conclave. I recently acquired a staff neckerchief issued for the event. Since it was not pictured in the earlier post, I’m showing it here and will add it to the original.

“No compact among men … can be pronounced everlasting and inviolable, and if I may so express myself, that no Wall of words, that no mound of parchment can be so formed as to stand against the sweeping torrent of boundless ambition on the one side, aided by the sapping current of corrupted morals on the other.” —George Washington (1789)

Section NE-3A 1990 Conclave Issues

The 1990 Section NE-3A conclave was hosted by Shu Shu Gah Lodge and held at Camp Keowa, Ten Mile River Scout Camps. The theme was Foundations Footsteps, since it was also the 75th Anniversary of the OA, the logo was a prominent part of the design.

There was a Delegate or Participant Patch:

and the on sold at the trading post:

The Staff Patch used the same design:

Roy Weatherbee has sent me several dozen scans for Conclaves that had both New York and New England Lodges in attendance. The first scan is for the 1990 Section NE-2A Conclave. Based on the Olympic Logo, I would assume that the conclave was hosted by Wakpominee Lodge #48 and held at the Camp of the same name. Can anyone confirm that?

Roy (and I) only have a single item from that conclave, a pocket patch.

Buckskin Lodge #412 unlisted chapter event patch Matinecock eR1990

Jonathan Groves sends along information on a previously uncatalogued 412 chapter event patch.

412 Matinecock Chapter eR1990

He also writes:

“FWIW, there must be a number of these undiscovered for other years. The now defunct Matinecock Chapter website stated that the Chapter  was re-named in 1984 (after its creation in 1982 [name not given]),
and the chapter hosted the Klondike for the “past 11 years” [circa 1997].  It also had a list of past chapter chiefs – none of which is documented
on the current Lodge 412 site, or Bill Cotter’s excellent resource.”

I’d be interested in trading for this issue and any other ‘uncatalogued’ chapter or event issues from 412.
