Section NE-5 1989 Conclave Update

I had previously written about the 1989 NE-5 Conclave, In 1989 the newly formed Section NE-5’s Conclave was hosted by Gyantwachia Lodge #255 and the event was held at Camp Custaloga Town. the theme for the weekend was “Seek To Serve”

Todd Rogers advised

I was going through my collection and realized there are two different varieties for the 1989 NE-5 patch that you mention:

In addition to the no loop version, there was a version with a loop.

My guess would be trading post version and a participant version. Can anyone confirm?

I’ll update the original post to add the image.

State of the Hobby – Otahnagon Lodge #172 S1 50th Ann. Flap

The S1 Flap from Otahnagon Lodge # 172 recently ended on eBay. The flap was issued for the 50th Anniversary of the OA in Baden Powell council and is arguably one of the toughest of the modern era patches from Otahnagon Lodge.

172s1
Clicking on the image will bring you to the auction results for the next few months.

There were 7 unique bidders making 22 bids which drove the price from its $ 4.99 start to nearly $ 87.00. Six of those bidders were in at $ 40.00 or over.

Looks like a nice flap to pick up if you can find it cheap.

Section NE-7A 1989 Blue Staff Neckerchief

I had recently written about a discovery of a Red Staff version of the 1989 Section NE-7A Conclave Neckerchief, which brought the neckerchief total up to 5. Mike Hulsizer left a comment which made me realize there are 6 neckerchiefs. There are three ‘designs’ each of which has a regular and staff variety.

I now have 5 of the 6 and Mike has the 6th pictured on his site (Blue SSC Staff) and shown below.

Mike Hulsizer has a scan of the Blue silk-screened Staff neckerchief from his website:

I’ll update the original 1989 Section NE-7A Conclave post with the scan too.

I have the M/C SSC regular and Staff version, Red SSC Regular and Staff versions and Blue SSC Regular.

I currently have the Red SSC and M/C SSC neckerchiefs in dupe to trade for my Blue SSC Staff need.

Section NE-7A 1989 Conclave Discovery

Back from the 7th Annual Empire State TOR held in Verona yesterday November 6, 2015. I had said that I was looking for old and new New York State OA needs and hoped to find an uncatalogued item or two. Well it looks like I filled all three buckets.

Here is a previously uncatalogued neckerchief from the 1989 Section NE-7A Conclave hosted by Ho-De-No-Sau-Nee Lodge #159.

I had previously been aware of 4 neckerchiefs, but came across a fifth one at the TOR. There is a staff version of the Red silk-screened neckerchief as shown below.

You can see a Light Blue Staff below the red silkscreen. I’ll update the original post with this information.

I wonder if there is a staff version of the Blue silkscreen? Does anyone have one?

There was a navy blue silk-screened neckerchief

and an image of the conclave booklet cover:
