Look Back – Area 2-E 1965 Conclave

A Look Back
Back in November 2009 I wrote about the 1965 Area 2-E Conclave which was hosted by Chautauqua Lodge #165 and held at their Camp Merz. 1965 was also the 50th Anniversary of the OA.

I’ve been pretty lucky in collecting Area 2-E, my needs are down to 3 neckerchief slides:
Area 2-E 55NS(two Fires), 66NS, 67NS

Can anyone help me out?

A mandated minimum wage is a kind of lottery in which a worker must find employment at or above the specified level. There is no constraint on the number of jobs, but employers who would otherwise pay some workers lower wages must pay the minimum or not hire them. The result is that winners receive increased wages and losers lose their jobs. Paradoxically, the losers are those who would have earned the least in any case. Finis Welch

Area 2-G 1965 Conclave Update

I had previously written about the 1965 Area 2-G Conclave and only had an image of the pocket patch. I can now share images of two other items issued for the event.

The neckerchief:

and a slide:

I’ll update the original post with this information too.

Shu Shu Gah Lodge #24 Nakowa Chapter Event Issue?

Here is a previously unlisted event issue from Nakowa Chapter of Shu Shu Gah Lodge #24. Nakowa Chapter covered the Bensonhurst area of Brooklyn and merged in 1979. Now this is not a leather issues, but vinyl or perhaps the hide of the mythical Nauga. Would you list it in the Blue Book?

Assuming it is listed, I would call it:

eX1965 – – BRN WHT – WHT Annual Dinner 50th Anniversary

Anyone have one for trade or sale?
