Ty Ohni Lodge #95 Executive Committee Neckerchiefs - Part 2

In part one of the series, we discussed the Ty-Ohni Lodge #95 N3.  The next neckerchief issued by Ty-Ohni Lodge #95, is their N4.  It is currently described as follows:

N4 - - WHT RED - SSC; wolf’s head encircled by “TY-OHNI LODGE 95 CHAPTER ADVISOR”

Ty-Ohni Lodge #95 N4 Executive Committee

Ty-Ohni Lodge #95 N4 Executive Committee

Based on the previous discussion,  I’ll make the following changes

N4 - - Wht M/C - SSC;Name and WWW Red outlined Blk; Design of N3 Red highlights in tongue; wolf’s head encirlced by Lodge Executive Committe position.

The picture was provided bt Rob Cunningham, he beleives this neckerchief dates from circa 1977.

Most Hated Cliches

A couple of weeks back, I posted a link to the Ten Most Irritating Phrases, here is another list of Hated Cliches from the BBC. Click through to read the rest.

1. “basically”. I even manage to irritate myself by using it, although I do try not to.
2. “To be fair” is the most awful thing anybody can ever say, particularly since it is invariably followed by a biased and utterly unfair comment.
3. My most hated expression has to be “to be honest”. What does it mean? Are you normally dishonest then?
4. It has to be “going forward”, used by business people/politicians, as in: “Going forward, we need to do…X.” Since time is irreversible, it’s totally unnecessary. No one experiences life “going backward”.
5. As far as irritating cliches go, the phrase “the fact of the matter is” must top the list. The fact of the matter is, that it rarely is the actual fact of the matter. It is usually just the speaker’s own opinion.

Ty Ohni Lodge #95 Executive Committee Neckerchiefs - Part 1

A number of rarely seen neckerchiefs from Ty-Ohni Lodge #95 have recently surfaced, NOAC and Executive Committee Neckerchiefs which have led to new discoveries and the chance to clear up some confusion.

I’m going to propose several changes to current descriptions to more clearly and accurately identify the various neckerchiefs and use a common naming convention for these issues.

The Naming convention I plan to use, is currently in place for the Ho-De-No-Sau-Nee #159 N2 which uses the phrase Lodge Executive Committee Position. This convention calls for a single listing for the ‘type’ of neckerchief without separately listing issues for the Lodge Chief, Lodge Vice Chief, Lodge Advisor, Chapter Advisor, etc.  Of course if you want to collect each one, go for it.  It is your collection after all.

To start,  we need to refer to the Ty Ohni Lodge N3

Ty-Ohni Lodge #95 N3

Ty-Ohni Lodge #95 N3

The Blue Book describes it as:

N3 - - WHT RED - SSC; wolf’s head design like S1-3

Note the Lettering is Multicolored (Red Outlined Black) and the Red highlights in the wolf’s tongue.

So let’s change the Blue Book description to:

N3 - - WHT M/C - SSC; Name and WWW Red outlined Blk wolf’s head design like S1-3 Red highlights in tongue.

The reasons for this will become clearer in the next few parts of this series.

Yes You Can Find Anything On The Web

Vampires are the new ‘in’ thing between HBO’s “True Blood” and the upcoming movie Twilight (from the books by Stephenie Meyer) they are everywhere.  What do you need to protect yourself?

Interested in an authentic vampire killing kit?

Circa 1800 Vampire Killing Kit

A complete and authentic vampire killing kit — made around 1800 and complete with stakes, mirrors, a gun with silver bullets, crosses, a Bible, holy water, candles and even garlic, all housed in a American walnut case with a carved cross on top — attained $14,850 in the Jimmy Pippen estate sale by Stevens October 3–4 in the new Natchez Convention Center.

Now how did they know it was authentic?

The most dangerous myth is the demagoguery that business can be made to pay a larger share, thus believing the individual. Politicians preaching this are either deliberately dishonest, or economically illiterate, and either one should scare us. Business doesn’t pay taxes, and who better than business to make this message known? Only people pay taxes, and people pay as consumers every tax that is assessed against a business.”—Ronald Reagan
