Tkaen DoD Lodge #30 100 Years of Scouting Set S30/X6

Scott Bracken sends along word of a new two piece set from Tkaen DoD Lodge #30 which celebrates both the Centennial and the 20th Anniversary of the Lodge. I guess you could say that technically only the flap celebrates the Centennial and the chevron celebrates the Lodge Anniversary.
There was some concern about the design of the chevron, it shows the totems of the predecessor lodges, but the totem for Winingus appears more as a beaver rather than a black mink. Not sure if it will ever be reordered.

CNY TOR Report – June 11-12, 2010

“The time has come,” the Walrus said,
“To talk of many things:
Of shoes–and ships–and sealing-wax–
Of cabbages–and kings–
And why the sea is boiling hot–
And whether pigs have wings.”

Back from the Central New York TOR held this past weekend with lots of news and images which should see the light of day over the next couple of weeks. Thanks to Dick, Steve and the rest of the William Hillcourt Scout Museum for putting on the TOR.

I have news and images for a number of patches issued by various NY OA Lodges some heard at the TOR and other via email reports.

  • Half Moon Lodge #28 has at least 3 varieties of its current regular issue flap.

Lots of new issues, posts with these issues should begin appearing tomorrow.

Tkaen-DoD Lodge #30 2009 NOAC S29

New Issue While Tkaen DoD Lodge #30 did not issue any NOAC patches on its own, the new Section NE-3A continued the traditions of the ‘old’ NE-3A and NE-3B by issuing Section sets for NOAC.

As has happened for the last several NOAC’s, the Section, NE-3A,  issued a series of flaps, one for each lodge in the section.

The flaps share a common design, a Scout with stave hiking towards Indiana University.

Tkaen DoD Lodge #30 Senaca Chapter R1

I recently came across an old picture of several rounds from Senaca Lodge #394 and Senaca Chapter of Takaen DoD #186 and Tkaen DoD #30. The quality of the scan is not the best; I think it was a scan of a color photocopy, as there appears to be crease marks in it. These issues do not currently appear on OAImages so I thought I would reproduce them here.

The third one is pictured below a Senaca Chapter round from Tkaen Dod Lodge #30
