Area 2-G 1964 Conclave Issues

The 1964 Area 2-G conclave was hosted by Manatoanna Lodge #461 and held at Camp Portaferry.  I’m aware of two issues, first up is the pocket patch.

and also a neckerchief.

Thanks to Tom Wadnola and Neale Cummings for the images.

Section NE-2B 1987 Conclave Issues

Here are a pair of images from the 1987 Section NE-2B Conclave. Tom Wadnola supplies an image of the pocket patch, the neckerchief is from my collection.

and the neckerchief:

The design is reminiscent of Onondaga Lodge #516, but they merged back in 1968 with Aola #410 to form Nischa Nitas #410.  Was this a homage to #516?

Were any other items issued for this event?

Area 2-G 1966 Concalve

Two more images and some information from Neale Cummings on the 1966 Area 2-G Conclave. The conclave was held at Camp Woodland and hosted by Onondaga Lodge #516. The patch and neckerchief referred to it as a training and fellowship conference. The Area Chief was Robert Gwinn.

The pocket patch was a triangle.

and the neckerchief had a similar design.

8th Area 2-G Conclave Update

Last week I posted on the Area 2-G 1961 Conclave issues. While filing away some conclave issues, I discovered there where actually 2 pocket patches issued for the event.  One has a cut edge and the other a rolled edge.

Was the demand so high that they had to reorder the patches and the second batch was different?  Anyone know the story behind these?

Click the image for a larger version.   I have also updated the original post.

Area 2-G 1953 Conclave (?) Neckerchief

Here is another image provided by Neale Cummings, this one from the 1953 Area 2-G Conclave held on September 12 & 13, 1953. The OA Conclave Handbook by Dingwerth and Jensen does not show a 1953 Conclave, however Neale provides information from the 1968 Area 2-G Conclave booklet which lists a 1953 Conclave hosted by Adirondack Lodge #357 and held at Camp Portaferry. Unlike all of the other conclaves, there is no listing for an Area Chief.

My guess would be that this was an organizing event and likely the first time these lodges got together, which also explains the very simple design. If you also check the numbering used on the later 2-G conclave issues , the 1953 would be the Zero Conclave.
