This is the third and final flap in the new award series issued by Buckskin Lodge #412. Thanks to Brian Petrowski for bringing it to our attention. This one is is awarded by the lodge advisor for exceptional service to lodge.

This is the second of three new issues brought to my attention by Brain Petrowski. This one is the new Lodge Chief issue. Buckskin Lodge has a tradition where the Lodge Chief can award these flaps as a means of recognizing exceptional service to the Lodge. It uses the basic Design of the S54, but has a SMY border.

Brian Petrowski brings word of three new issues from Buckskin Lodge #412. The first is issued to Chapter Chiefs in Buckskin Lodge, who in turn present them to chapter members as a recognition for exceptional service. The design features the ‘new’ wolf head of the S54 and a Blue Border.

Brian Petrowski brings word of a new chapter issue from Buckskin Lodge #412 Wulihan Chapter. This is only the second issue from Wulihan. The first was issued about 10 years ago. The basic design of the patch is similar to the design of the earlier issue (X1).

Brian Petrowski sends word and a scan of a new embroidered neckerchief from Buckskin Lodge #412. He advises:

I would like to report on the brand new embroidered neckerchief from Buckskin Lodge, it was first issued at the 2007 Spring Weekend and is the first fully embroidered neckerchief issued by the lodge. This replaces the silk screen neckerchief that has been used by the lodge for over 20 years. These neckerchiefs are not for sale and only given to new brothers that complete there ordeal or a lodge member can trade in there silk screen issued neckerchief along with $5 dollars to receive one of these new fully embroidered issues.

As you can see in the scan, both the white band and red arrow are embroidered. The previous issue, the N6 had an embroidered arrow, but the white line was silkscreened. In earlier versions the white ‘line’ was a ribbon, sewn to the neckerchief.

The second post in the series of NY OA Belt Buckles is one from Buckskin Lodge #412.  The Buckle pictures the wolfhead totem used by the Lodge.

The buckle depicts the 412X1 patch from the lodge.

Anyone have more information on this Buckle?

Brian Petrowski sends word of a set of event issues from Buckskin Lodge #412.

The fall and spring weekend segment will be given to brothers that attend the 2007 Fall Weekend and the 2008 Spring Weekend. The center triangle patch will be given as this years lodge banquet gift to all attendees and the 2008 Lodge Banquet segment will only be given to OA brothers in attendance at the banquet.

Most of these items have not been issued yet, so the the numbering is ceratinly tentative:

Brain Petrowski brings word of a new regular issue flap from Buckskin Lodge #412. It will likely be designated the S54.

First is the brand new lodge flap(which I designed) combines the S-1 and S-16 with a rolled edge green border and a brand new wolf head with silver mylar eyes.

Matinecock Chapter of  Shinnecock Lodge #360 Buckskin Lodge #412 issued an event patch earlier this year for the 2007 Klondike Derby. The design is that of a gold poke tied at the top with rope. Thanks to Matt Schieferstein for the correction.

The lucky thirteenth slide in the series on NY OA Neckerchief slides and bolos is also from Buckskin Lodge #412. You can find previous entries by clicking on the neckerchief slide category in the left sidebar.

This slide may be homemade. Has anyone else seen one? It is made of plaster with a wire embedded in the back for the slide. The coloring appears to be paint.
