Buckskin Lodge #412 New Embroidered Neckerchief Arrow Left?

Back in late 2007, I wrote about the then new N7 from Buckskin Lodge. As you can see below, it had an arrow pointing right.

As you can see in the scan, both the white band and red arrow are embroidered. The previous issue, the N6 had an embroidered arrow, but the white line was silkscreened. In earlier versions the white ‘line’ was a ribbon, sewn to the neckerchief.

I recently picked up a similar neckerchief which appears to be of the same vintage, but has an arrow facing left. This was the old method for showing Brotherhood, but this is too modern to be from that era.

Was this an error reorder of the N7? Private Issue? Who knows the rest of the story?

“If by the liberty of the press were understood merely the liberty of discussing the propriety of public measures and political opinions, let us have as much of it as you please: But if it means the liberty of affronting, calumniating and defaming one another, I, for my part, own myself willing to part with my share of it.” —Benjamin Franklin (1789)
