Always a good local TOR, I’ve been a regular attendee for at least the last dozen years and I’ll be there again this year.  If you have ant of my 2009 NOAC needs or any of my other NYS OA needs I’ll be there trading both days.

What’s a Good Description Worth?

I recently wrote about the highest priced single NOAC issue from  Black Eagle Lodge.  The auction went for a final price of over $500.  The seller described it as

OA 482 BLACK EAGLE LODGE BEL 2009 NOAC CONTINGENT FLAP – VERY RARE – ONLY 2 ISSUED PER NOAC PARTICIPANT!

Notice the ghost lettering and compare to similar BEL 2009 NOAC patches – the trader patch had black lettering and will be a much easier find.  This patch has ghost lettering and only two were issued to each of the few Black Eagle Lodge participants.

This apparently was the delegate issue, but the ‘trader’ was also pricey.  The prices varied widely depending on the quality of the description.

One trader flap went for $46.00 with no eBay picture and a simple description, a second flap went for $64.21 this had a simple description, had an eBay picture but had more text devoted to seller requirements than description.

The third item(below), ending 5 days later than the previous two flaps went for $153.49 triple the first item. More buyer friendly? Bidders worried about not seeing another? Or something completely different.

Clicking on the picture will bring you to the auction for the next few months.
