Before there was 4, there was 6 and before that 12

Knowledge is Power

Before there was 4, there was 6 and before that 12, regions that is.  The Boy Scouts broke the country into 12 regions for administrative purposes.  As with other niches in Scout collecting, there are those who collect the 12, the 6 or the 4.

Many region issues were issued in limited quantities in relation to other items from that era.  In some cases Region issues were limited to professional staffs.

Below is an Region 2 Neckerchief which was issued to members of the Region 2 contingent to the 1957 National Jamboree.

There were 3 bidders in this to the $100 range, and when the gavel came down it went for nearly $125.  This neckercheif appeals to not just one area of collecting, but two.

It would be of interest to both National Jamboree collectors as well as Region 2 collectors.
