I know its not from New York, but this delegate set from Malibu Lodge is the single highest auction for a 2009 NOAC Issue. Malibu Lodge issues have always been popular at national events.
I’m counting a two-piece set as a single issue of course. This beats out the Tannu Backpatch by a few dollars.

I wouldn’t worry about the amount this one went on eBay.
First being elected to the OA is an honor in itself.
Members of the lodge typically have access to the patches at a small cost.
While some lodges produce limited patches for specific purposes, there is no requirement to purchase or collect all of a lodges patches.
Enjoy your time in the OA, collect patches if you want, collect only what you want and explore everything else the OA has to offer too.
