I won’t be able to attend NOAC this time, but will continue to post news and information about new and newly discovered NY OA Issues. If you have a laptop or netbook at NOAC you can still follown the posts here:
PREPARING FOR NOAC: WIRELESS INTERNET USAGE WHILE AT NOAC
In order to use the guest wireless network at Indiana University, you need a Network Access Account. All NOAC participants and staff will be given an IU Network Access Account during registration. Wireless access is available in most public places such as dorm lounges, the library, cafeterias, and the Memorial Union. Limited access may be available in some dorm room areas and classrooms. Outdoor wireless is not provided. By using a Network Access Account you are agreeing to abide by all the policies regarding computer usage of Indiana University. These accounts are designed to provide you with access to the internet and will not allow access to IU facilities such as printers and servers. Network connectivity and access is monitored and violations of IU policy will result in access being cut-off. NOAC attendees should make sure their computers have the firewall activated and anti-virus software installed and up-to-date. See the NOAC Website, event.oa-bsa.org, for more specific information regarding these accounts.
