Shu Shu Gah Lodge #24 eA2008-3

New IssueJohn Pannell posted about the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA)and its effect on Scout patches.  In a follow-up post, he shared some further information;

Third Party testing certificates for lead content. There are two effects to this new regulation.  One, the requirement for testing all products for lead will increase the lead time needed for delivery by at least a week, maybe two, as the demand for this service become more necessary.  Second, smaller vendors will be required to “bundle” orders together, and not ship when ready, until a larger number of items can be tested at the same time.

This very policy delayed the receipt of the patches issued for the Shu Shu Gah Lodge #24 8th Annual Indian Seminar held at Camp Alpine late last month.  The event was very successful, with over 250 participants for this years event.

The patch depicts a Native American in a Straight Dance Outfit.

Here is an image of the staff patch issued for the event.
