Area 2-H 1971 Conclave Cover

I had previously posted on the 1971 Area 2-H Conclave. George Jennings left a comment about a different type of memorabilia than we normally see issued for a conclave. He sent along the image and his previous comments.

We also had a special first day cover made for the conference. We utilized the local post office and used two 4 cent BSA stamps which were made in 1960. This was done under the direction of Bernie Chonin, a wonderful scouter who has since gone home to the Lord.
As you can see by the cover, the conference was held September 10 to 12, 1971.
Note the postage was $0.08.
