That sounds an awful like someone -- either the lodge or the manufacturer -- took a black Sharpie (tm), or permanent marker, to the patches and covered the 17. If this creates a variety, I fear I could "find" all sorts of varieties to be listed! ;> Unless there's more that you know, I'd be much more skeptical before creating a variety here.
